Saturday, September 13. 2008Last week I saw... Last week I saw through my window a neighbor working in his yard. He is an older man and he was hauling sod in his wheel barrow on a very hot day. My first thought was that Scott would go help him, but then I realized Scott wasn't here. If he were, Scott would have gone right out the door to help without being asked. That has always been his way. He and Laci were always eager to help someone out. I admired how they lived, how they shared in everything and how many thoughtful things they did for their friends, neighbors and their community. They had such fun together. Scott's Mom

Dear Jackie,
I am one of the many people who decided to look beyond the media in this case and read the trial transcripts that were eventually available online. What an eye opener. I remember in the testimony of Susan Medina, and when she told how Scott went over to help her when she had a flat tire, even though they were only casual neighbors. He didn't have to help, but he did, and then took her to an appointment so she wouldn't be late. I read many other documents in this case, and without going into the many reasons why, I just want you to know that I see the kindness in your son. I see the love that is so obvious in your family. God bless you, your family and Scott. I will keep you all in my prayers until Scott is home where he belongs.
Your post "supporter" said it all and especially this part:
I just want you to know that I see the kindness in your son. I see the love that is so obvious in your family. I would add this Jackie and Lee. Though often overlooked and unspoken by the media; The annual trips to Carmel, the holidays spent together despite the very long distances, the baby shower arranged and attended by all of you for Conner's birth, the Disneyland trip and all of the other things your family shared with and for Scott and Laci, shows just how close and loving your family truly was and is. Though never solicited, loving people naturally gravitate towards you and offer their love and support because they can see how awful and unfair these past several years have been for you all. Keep your spirits up and one day, you WILL look out your window and see Scott helping somebody again. It's a memory for now but soon a reality.
Dear. Mrs. Peterson & Family
I am 100% sure Scott would have helped like you said. I am sorrowed by the fact that you cannot see your beloved son in person everyday. He is locked up as an innocent man. I always knew he was not responsible for anything from the start. I have no idea what pain you must go through but I pray that you find peace and that Scott will come home to you one day. Thinking of you, Kimmy Seattle, Washington
I agree with Kimmy that an innocent man is almost certainly locked up in this case. The evidence at trial was totally prejudicial and circumstancial. There were so many holes in the case that were never fully explored. I hope in the near future that Scott gets his day in court on appeal and ALL the facts are heard...finally.
Dear Jackie,
Of all the reading I’ve done about this case, I have never seen Scott described by anyone who truly knew him as anything other than a very kind, very gentle person. He is very fortunate to have a family who knows he is innocent and will stand by him until he is exonerated. Unfortunately there are some people who should have known better who turned against Scott because of the lies that were told to them by the police and the media. One of those people is Karen Servas, whose reinvented timeline became very significant in Scott’s conviction. In the Modesto Bee series on the fifth anniversary of Laci’s disappearance, there are a number of videos. Karen Servas, in particular, tells the story of the Scott she knew, the Scott she considered a friend, the Scott around whom she had never felt uncomfortable, the neighbor who invited her and her son over to swim in his pool on numerous occasions, who even invited her son to bring his friends with him, the neighbor who came over to her house in the late afternoon on Sunday, December 22, to help her straighten her Christmas tree so it wouldn’t fall over. How could the person she knew be the person portrayed by the media and law enforcement as a brutal murderer? Obviously, she has not been able to reconcile this in her own mind. In one of the videos, she says: "If he (did it), obviously the jury thought he did....and there must be much more evidence out there that was never presented at trial that proved he did it.â€
Dear Jacki,
As always, it's great to hear from you. I hope your health is doing well. No doubt Scott was always the ' little helper'. I remember reading stories about how Scott would always be around to help neighbors, and especially the time he helped Laci by wheeling her around in the wheel chair when you guys went to Disneyland. I can just picture Scott doing that. I know how deeply you and Lee miss Scott, and we all pray for the day when he is released from prison and can join his family once again, but I bet no one prays for that more than you, Lee and the rest of the family do. Keep your spirits high, there are many of us rooting for Scott. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
Hello Mrs. Peterson,
Scott is a wonderful person. Like they say the apple does not fall far from the tree. You are such a loving woman and I only hope that as my children grow that I can be as loving, caring, and supportive to them as you are to your family. Scott will be home soon and everything will be a reality when looking out of your window. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. De
I stumbled upon your blog by accident. I truly hope that you continue writing in this blog. It helps to keep the hope alive. I followed the case from the beginning, and have always believed in Scott's innocence. I cannot fathom what you and your family have went through. You lost both your daughter-in-law, and your son. I do not understand why ALL of the outside evidence was not presented in the case. That evidence had no connections with Scott. There was no evidence whatsoever that Scott committed any crime, yet he was convicted. I do hope that the new civil trial will shed some new light on the case, and help send Scott back home. He needs to be home with his family. Hang in there hon, keep the faith. Be strong for Scott and for Laci's memory. Never lose hope that the true murderers will be caught and that justice will be served, and Scott will be set free. He didn't deserve this at all. Just keep writing and keep a journal, and focus on the good memories, and the hope that Scott will be back home with you soon. You are such a lovely person and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, always. Love and Hugs, ~Linda.
Hi Jackie: I almost cried when I read your statement. I really do believe Scott would go out of his way to help anybody. You guys are always in my thoughts and my prayers! I know that someday you'll look up and Scott will be home again. I just saw today where Amber Frey is about to lose that big house she bought after she testified against Scott and got her money! (What goes around comes around!) If Amber hadnpt of testified Scott would never have been convicted! Take care, and I pray you are feeling better! Love, Kathy
I write to Scott all the time but never hear back from him. I just want you all to know many people care about your family. Scott got screwed. This whole trial was a circus. How can he have been found guilty beyond a doubt with NO evidence??? This drives me crazy. I just know one day he will be free again and be able to grieve for the loss of his family. All the money grubbers make me sick.
Wishing Scott and his family the best. Not everyone believed in the trickery they played. NO EVIDENCE =DEATH ROW? SAD VERY SAD. Scott hold your head up high and stay strong! You are not alone. (((hugs)))
It is sad to think that if Scott wins his appeal, he still wouldn't get a fair trial. This whole country and parts of other countries, know everything about the Scott Peterson, most from what they saw and heard from the media.
How could the jury help but not be bias when they had to deal with that mob at the court house every day? Even to the point of being approaced and told to "fry is ...." Can you imagine how much the jury was afraid of another LA type of riot if they found Scott not guilty? I do have a problem of one of the jurors falling asleep. I recall the reporter Beth stating that a few times. How can anyone recall what was said if they fall asleep? He should have been removed as a juror. You all hang in there. Take care and God Bless you and yours.
im sorry for your sadness. im sorry for your loss of laci and the baby and of course scott. i followed the entire case and im not convinced of scotts guilt. stay strong and keep fighting for truth.
If all this evidence exists that casts such a shadow on the states case, I can only ask one question:
Why doesn't an attorney, looking to make a big name for him or herself take on SP's cause? I mean, this case APPEARS to have so many holes in it, I still shake my head on why he is in jail. Cause he fooled around? God! We GLORIFY infidelity these days!! Good luck. These questions need to be answered.
How odd it is to see how different democracies look at men. In France, the country that made the US possible, it is well known that successful men, including their PM, have relationships outside of their marriage.
In France that means you are normal, in the US it means you are a killer. Let this man out. He has suffered enough.
I hope there will be justice for your family and the rochas, T o many questions unanswer the robbery across the street from the home a girlfriend who has a history of stalking married men a job where she could meet people of all types of jobs police personal they could look up address just by the tags of some-one car.a jury wanting to be famous and throwing out juror's that would vote to exonerate scott. why hide information of laci seeing the boat and dismissing those that saw a woman walking with a yellow/golden lab or being pulled into a van by a peace -officer who would have good detail information on what he saw part of the job. The jury went with the vote on emotion and if not he who else.
