Friday, March 6. 2009A girl in our community.... On the morning of February 14th my husband and I were leaving our local grocery store and as we were heading out the door I noticed a missing person flyer taped to the door. The photo was of a teenage girl and when I read the details I learned that she was a classmate of my daughter and was last seen at 7:10am (about 20 minutes before school started) approximately 300 yards from the school's main entrances.I pay more attention to fliers since Laci went missing and our family experienced this first hand. This one touched very close to home and our immediate community. I know the panic and worry that set in when the parents, extended family, neighbors, and friends realized Amber Dubois never made it to school that day. It has been over two weeks now and there are literally no leads to her disappearance. Amber is said to have been very eager to be at school that day as she was going to be getting her baby lamb for her FFA class project. She also had Valentine gifts that she purchased the night before for friends she was to see at school that day. She had never run away in the past and it would be "very out of character" for her. They have a website www.BringAmberHome.com and a toll-free tip line 888-55AMBER. Please take a look at their website, print out some fliers and put them around your community. Amber could be anywhere in the country by now. Remember the fortunate outcome for Elizabeth Smart and her family! Our prayers go out to Amber, her parents, and family. My prayers are with her and her family. It's so scary how she just vanished...they have no leads at all.....
Also, keep in your prayers Haleigh Cummings (age 5) who disappeared out of her Florida home a few weeks ago. LynneS
Susan, my prayers go out to Amber and her family, and Lynn my prayers also go out to Haleigh. I hope both girls are found soon.
It has been 6 years since the entire "Laci Peterson" disappearance caught the eyes of the public who wanted so much for her return and then suddenly, Ms. Fry was out there wanting revenge right along with Laci's mother who too needed her revenge and then there was poor Scott. What an opportunity for the press, the police, Attorney Geragos who was or may have been on drugs who knows? but this needed to be solved , too many people wanting an answer to Laci's disappearance with no one really looking for her. So it went, Poor Scott. He was doomed from the get go and had he never had the so called tumble with Amber Fry he would be out golfing today while every one telling him how sorry they were about his wife's disappearance. Face it ! we live in society that wants REVENGE when it comes to a women being scorn and when there are two women involved, It is safe to say the poor guy never had a chance. "God Bless" the family and you too Scott.
